On paid tickets and memberships we take 5%, plus Stripe’s card fee (about 3%). Newsletters are part of every community, with nothing extra to pay.

Good questions

Who can subscribe?

Anyone, from the Subscribe button on your community page. Signed-in members subscribe in one tap; everyone else confirms by email first.

Are my followers subscribed automatically?

No. Following and the newsletter are separate, so everyone on your list asked for it. Share your page and ask people to tap Subscribe.

Can I import a list from Mailchimp?

Not yet. Subscribers join through your page, with their own consent recorded.

Who does it come from?

Your community’s name, via Tribe. Add a contact email in the newsletter settings and replies come to you.

Why does Tribe check some issues?

Your first issue, issues from communities live for less than 14 days, and more than 4 issues in a month get a quick check before they go. It keeps everyone’s emails out of spam folders.

What does it cost?

Nothing extra. The free plan covers up to 2,500 subscribers and 4 issues a month. Over 2,500, sending carries on.

Can I see who opened it?

Delivery, opens and clicks are recorded for every issue. The stats screen in your dashboard is coming soon. Opens are approximate, so clicks and bookings are the better signal.

How do people unsubscribe?

Every issue has a one-click unsubscribe for your community only. Their tickets and other communities aren’t affected.
