Good questions

Do my members have to opt in?

Yes. A person gets WhatsApp messages only if they added WhatsApp when they verified their phone number and have not opted out since.

What if someone replies STOP?

They are opted out straight away. Replying START opts them back in.

Do I need my own WhatsApp Business account?

No. Messages go out through Tribe's approved message templates.

Is WhatsApp always switched on?

WhatsApp sending can be switched off. Then the preview still works and the blast goes out by email.
