Lightning Talks ⚡

Come join us to share ideas, learn about odd topics / passions / curiosities, and meet interesting people. All event are free to attend, but we appreciate RSVPs so that we can have adequate seating setup in advance of the event. At Lightning Talks anyone can sign up to give a talk, and will have 5 minutes (strictly timed!) to talk about a topic of their choosing, followed by 5 minutes of open questions from the audience. The only rule is no pitching of one's business - the ethos of this event is to inspire and educate, it is not a sales opportunity. We have a microphone and a projector for any visuals you'd like to include in your talk. We want to encourage new people who have never given a talk to try presenting. The bar is low and it's a receptive audience and a great way to wade into public speaking. We are a friendly, and encouraging crowd. We appreciate challenging questions when rooted in genuine curiosity, in an atmosphere of kindness and respect.
